Les started in Woodworking about 45 years ago doing a Detailed Joinery & Carpentry Building Trade Apprenticeship. His career has involved the building of fine furniture, building construction, Shopfitting, Carving & Woodturning.
Les served for 15yrs in the Australian Regular Army finishing his career as a Still Photographer/Cinematographer. He continued doing commission work in Joinery during that time.
He has had a Woodturning business in the Canberra Region for the past 25 years and also teaches woodturning at his workshop. He mainly supplies galleries overseas in Europe & the USA. Les demonstrates woodturning & carving here in Australia and has demonstrated in France, Holland, New Zealand & the USA. Les is a Life Member of the Woodcraft Guild of the ACT.
Our Process
Pieces are created from timbers recovered from around the Canberra Region and from around Australia. All pieces are hand turned & finished.
